About the Role
A Host Home Provider is responsible with providing a safe, loving environment for an individual. As a Host Home Provider, you are charged with daily care including providing meals, medication administration, arranging for medical care and treatment, and to meet other specific needs a person might have.
As Host Home Providers you will receive adequate training and you will be skilled in areas of general care, Medication Certification, First Aid and CPR, positive behavior supports, as well as Consumer Rights. You will receive support from Empower Ability. We will also monitor all of our host homes carefully to ensure the safety of the individual and that all their needs are met as they receive the highest level of care.
Empower Ability provides 14 respite days for our providers.
Requirements
Be at least 21 years of age.
Have a separate bedroom in your home that can be used by the individual.
Pass a background check.
Be able to provide transportation.
Be able to provide meals.
